feeding campaign

Did you know that 1 of every 4 children is suffering from hunger and that there are over 720,000 people in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex that are struggling to be able to feed their families?

Necia’s Healing Hand needs your support. As we continue to grow to meet the needs of the community, our resources need growth as well. When you give to Necia’s Healing Hand, you become a leader in helping us bridge the gap of government funding and in changing the way society approaches mental illness, addictions and homelessness.

Necia’s Healing Hand “Fights Hunger and Feeds the less-fortunate in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex.

Necia’s Healing Hand fights hunger by distributing food twice a week to families who live in Tarrant County and serve food to the homeless at Unity Park Fort Worth. We feed their souls, spirits and body to glorify God.

If you’d like to be involved in any way…Don’t let the weather steer you away! We are here to stay today and fill some empty tummies.

This page is dedicated to raising money to feed the homeless population of Ft. Worth. Currently this project involves a small group of people who have been providing sack lunches to the homeless population throughout the Lancaster Ave. area, near the homeless shelters. The need for food has steadily risen due to homeless shelters reaching capacity and we believe that we can at least make somewhat of a difference. We currently take sack lunches with water two times a week. The average amount of bag lunches that we assemble and provide cost about $100, which makes roughly 70 meals (including water). Though 70 meals is a lot of food to some, we are still not even able to hand out a meal to every person we see. We would love to be able to at least provide 150 meals twice monthly and serve a hot home-cooked meal to the homeless at Unity Park Fort Worth twice a month. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated! Let’s make this a selfless and successful effort together!
